Cynthia Erivo is swapping Elphaba green for some Beetlejuice stripes.
Over the weekend, the Oscar-nominated actor was one of many stars who filled the stands for the Wimbledon finals, where she watched Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz face off for the title—all while wearing a hypnotic pinstripe ensemble.
For the sporty outing, Erivo’s stylist, Jason Bolden, turned to the archives—pulling a look from the Ralph Lauren Spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection.
The two-tone fit was centered around a striped, black-and-white minidress that was like a dress shirt transformed into an eye-popping summer frock.
The stripes cut vertically down the design, save for the thick bottom hem, which acted like a tiny ruffled skirt, where the lines zig-zagged in other directions. The piece was topped off with stark swathes of white, including the collar and flared cuffs, which extended over Erivo’s hands.
The Wicked star completed her look with a few jet-black accessories, including a pair of knee-high stockings, cat-eye sunglasses, platform heels, and a key-lock handbag. And for an extra touch of prep, she sported a thick necktie, which was decorated with white polka-dots.
When it comes to Wimbledon, we can always count on the stars to show off their tennis best, and what better arena for Erivo to parade her inimitable style in? Never one to shy away from a loud print, towering shoe, or statement-making silhouette, it’s no shock that her latest outfit was another ace.
