Country Star’s Little Sister ‘Felt Brave’ Enough To Flaunt Her Powerhouse Vocals On This Folk Rock Smash originally appeared on Parade.
Morgan Wallen’s younger sister, Mikaela, may not be a household name just yet. But, she’s certainly got the talent to prove otherwise.
The 28-year-old Sneedville, Tenn. native recently showcased her powerhouse voice in a video on TikTok, where she delivered an at-home rendition of The Animals’ 1964 smash, “House of the Rising Sun.”
“There is a house in New Orleans / They call the Rising Sun / And it’s been the ruin of many a poor boy / Dear God, I know I was one / My mother was a tailor / She sewed my new blue jeans / And my father was a gamblin’ man / Way down in New Orleans,” Mikaela can be heard showcasing her delicate rasp on the first verses of the classic tune in the TikTok video over a soft and subtle backing track.
“Felt brave..might delete later but the acoustics go crazy in here #fyp #TheAnimals #acoustic,” Mikaela captioned the entertaining clip, which features her exposing her arm tattoos in a lavender tank top and keeping her blond hair straight.
Fans Are Now Calling For a Wallen Sibling Duet
The clip has earned hundreds of views, likes, and comments from followers, who are now begging for a duet between Wallen and Mikaela. And rightfully so, as her rendition seems effortless as she incorporated plenty of runs, dips, and belts into her goosebump-inducing performance.
“Absolute goosebumps! So amazing!” one person wrote in the comments section of the post, with another person adding, “Those Wallen singing genes are strong!”
“You and your brother should do a song together,” another follower commented.
A fourth person wrote in all caps, “DO NOT DELETE. YOUR VOICE IS AMAZING.”
Wallen Previously Duetted With His Sister, Ashlyne
Interestingly, Wallen grew up singing with Mikaela and his other sister, Ashlyne. The latter of the two girls (he also has a third sister named Lacey, who was adopted in 2021) delivered harmony vocals on Wallen’s 2023 album One Thing at a Time on the song “Outlook,” written alongside Rodney Clawson and Jeff Hyde.
“I grew up in church singing three-part harmonies with my two sisters. That’s how I learned to sing, so this was a full-circle moment for Ashlyne and me,” Wallen said of the collaboration in a press release at the time. “That is very special for me. My sister and I are very close and always have been, so having her on ‘Outlook’ was an important and emotional thing for both of us.”
While it’s no doubt musical talent runs strong in the Wallen family, it’s unclear whether or not Morgan’s sisters will follow in his footsteps, but anything can happen!
Wallen Is On His I’m The Problem Tour
In the meantime, Wallen is playing shows as part of his I’m The Problem Tour, which recently enjoyed a bye week, according to the country superstar, whose latest Instagram post featured a carousel of photos of him enjoying a round of golf and tossing the pigskin.

One snapshot in the pictures appears to show a minor knee injury, but that hasn’t halted Wallen’s tour dates.
The 2025 I’m The Problem Tour, which launched on June 20 in Houston, Texas, and includes stops in Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario, and more, wraps on Sept. 13.
