LeAnn Rimes is nursing a wound after revealing she recently bonked her head in the kitchen area of her house. The pop/country icon, 42, turned to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 7, where she told her 1.1 million followers that she seemingly collided with the countertop, knocking her noggin in the process.
In her brief Instagram story, Rimes wrote, “May have hit the sh-t out of my head on our kitchen counter.”
“It’s 6:08 and I’m in bed…clearly needed,” she added.
The Mississippi native included a photo of herself lying down on a bed, with what appears to be an ice pack over a portion of her forehead. Rimes didn’t go into detail on how she may have bumped her head, nor did she provide an update on her condition. But, judging by the snapshot, it’s likely a minor situation that will heal on its own after a bit of ice and rest.
Rimes is likely already on the mend as she has concerts scheduled throughout the year, including her earliest, which takes place on Sunday (Aug. 10) at Concerts at Point of the Bluff in Hammondsport, NY. The powerhouse singer and actress has also joined the cast of ABC’s upcoming drama series, 9-1-1 Nashville, which premieres Thursday (Oct. 9) at 9:00 p.m. ET and will be available for streaming the next day on Hulu.
