A country superstar is giving it up for the red, white and blue on Wednesday, May 21, by releasing a six-track EP of patriotic songs just in time for Memorial Day 2025, which this year is May 26.
Trace Adkins, 63, the country star behind such hits as “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing,” “I Left Something Turned On at Home,” “Every Light in the House,” “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” has gone the patriotic route this Memorial Day.
Adkins announced on Instagram that his EP Made in the USA is out now and “features six songs to honor those who served our nation.”

In the comments, fans are super excited about this new surprise release.
“Trace you light up the day. Love all the songs your going to sing.❤️,” wrote one fan.
Another one wrote, “Your a good singer, actor, a good man.”
The Made in the USA EP comes on the heels of Adkins’ latest single, “What Color’s Your Wild,” which he released on February 28, 2025.
He performed the song live on The Today Show back in March and told the hosts that his new song is about “what lights you up,” so it’s personal to everyone.
“It’s what does it for you, what lights you up, what gets you going. I just love this song, I love the melody and what it says,” said Adkins, adding. “I’ll just keep recording stuff as long as anybody wants to listen to it.”
He also talked about his movie Day of Reckoning. Adkins has become quite the actor in recent years, and in this new film, he said it wasn’t “a stretch” for him to play a “big, mean guy.”
“He’s just a big mean guy, so it really wasn’t a stretch. I just showed up and said the words they wanted me to say. I just tried to look tough. It’s a good movie, it comes out March 28.”
