Ana de Armas is making her first official comments about Tom Cruise.
The 37-year-old actress confirmed that she and the 62-year-old Top Gun star were working on “a few projects” together during a Thursday, May 15 appearance on Good Morning America. Her comments come months after they first were first spotted out together in February.
While promoting her upcoming movie From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, de Armas was asked about her plans for the future and rumors that she was “working with another big star” and “a stunt master.”

GMA host Michael Strahan directly named Cruise, asking de Armas if they were collaborating on a movie that would entail her doing “some other crazy stunts.”
“We’re definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited,” de Armas replied.
Liman is a director who worked with Cruise on 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow and 2017’s American Made. McQuarrie is a director and screenwriter; he and Cruise have joined forces on various movies within the Mission: Impossible franchise. He also wrote the script for Edge of Tomorrow.
In December 2024, Deadline reported that Cruise and Liman were joining forces on a supernatural thriller called Deeper.
When Cruise and de Armas were first spotted on a night out in London in February, an insider told PEOPLE they were at dinner with their agents “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”
Since then, the pair have been seen together multiple times, including on a walk in London on de Armas’ 37th birthday.
The two Oscar nominees strolled alongside each other as their security detail walked close by. Cruise and de Armas appeared to be enjoying a chat as they casually made their way down one of the pathways in the park.

Cruise and de Armas were also seen arriving in London via helicopter on March 14, when they were joined by Liman.
They were most recently spotted in a car together leaving David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London on May 3. The photos were obtained by the Daily Mail and showed Cruise with a big smile on his face.
The star-studded night was attended by the likes of Guy Ritchie, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay.
Reps for Cruise and de Armas have not responded to requests for comment from PEOPLE about their relationship.
