Classic rock legend Rod Stewart put on an energetic and vibrant show recently when he joined forces with fellow icons Cheap Trick for an epic concert in Nashville, Tennessee.

The beloved performer, 80, proved that age is just a number as he enthusiastically bopped around and danced on stage at the Ascend Amphitheatre on August 14, showing off his signature stage presence that hasn’t waned since the early days of his career. The singer is currently on his “One Last Time” tour, which finishes off on August 15 in St. Louis, Missouri. From there, Stewart will play a set of eight casino shows across California and Las Vegas before heading to South America and Europe through the end of the year.

For the show, Stewart rocked an equally epic leopard print suit with red lapel detailing and a frilly white shirt underneath the jacket. The singer also donned a pearl necklace and gold and black sneakers to complement the look.

As for the Cheap Trick, the Rockford, Illinois natives also brought down the house during their segment of the show. Rick Nielsen, Robin Zander, and Thomas Peterson all matched Stewart when it came to style. Nielsen, 76, rocked a bright red button-up, Zander, 72, wore a cream suit and matching hat, and Peterson, 75, donned a sparkly white button-up and black kerchief.

Their set also matched Stewart’s when it came to personality. Nielsen played a very cool checkerboard style guitar that featured the print all the way up the neck and head of the guitar — and he even gave the middle finger at one point during the exciting performance.

Stewart first came onto the music scene in London in 1963, while Cheap Trick was formed a bit later in 1971 — the year Stewart had his breakthrough with album Every Picture Tells a Story. That album featured the hit single “Maggie May,” which is considered one of his best songs to this day. Both the song and album hit the top of the charts in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

Cheap Trick formed in the early 1970s but didn’t release their self-titled debut album until 1977, which featured Nielsen, Zander, Peterson and former drummer Bun E. Carlos, who played on all the band’s records until 2006. In 1979, they hit mainstream success in the United States with their album At Budokan and the live recording of their single “I Want You to Want Me” from that record also became a major hit.
