Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are already Kansas City icons, and the NFL stars are about to reach a new demographic of fans.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end and quarterback recently paid a visit to their upcoming restaurant, 1587 Prime, to test out the menu selections for the first time. The establishment’s official Instagram page shared a video via Instagram of the tasty meeting on Tuesday, July 29, while undoubtedly making fans’ mouths water.
While sitting at a round table at the American steakhouse, Travis and Patrick were presented with the finest pieces of meat and side dishes. The three-time Super Bowl champions were visibly impressed with the food, especially when Patrick looked like a kid in a candy store looking at all the options.
“White truffle butter. This is our toreados butter, which is like a chili butter,” the server explained in the clip. “Bone marrow butter, garlic butter, hibiscus butter, truffle soy, chimichurri.”
The teammates-turned-co-business owners also enjoyed beautifully prepared steaks, which almost made them dance in their seats.
“Let me just get a piece of this one,” Patrick said after first reaching for one of the items. “I can just tell from the first bite, it was like butter.”
Meanwhile, Travis leaned back in his chair while clearly liking what he was eating, and sang a loud and drawn-out, “Mmm!”
“You need some of that, dawg,” Travis encouraged Patrick.
Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, may become the restaurant’s biggest fan, considering that the A-list couple often spends their date nights at a chic restaurant – unless they decide to cook at home.
“I just recently found out how to make some home-cooked pasta,” Travis told former Bachelor Matt James in a June 2024 TikTok video. “Like some actual noodles, home-cooked and everything.”
1587 Prime is expected to open its doors in Kansas City, Missouri, by the end of 2025.
