Which is why fans were thrown for a loop earlier this week when reports emerged claiming that Tish had unfollowed Miley Cyrus on Instagram, suggesting another round of family drama.
This all went down on Wednesday, when a fan account on Twitter shared a photo that appeared to show that Tish wasn’t following Miley on Instagram. TMZ later reported that it had searched Tish’s Instagram Follows, finding the same result. The outlet tied this apparent unfollowing to Billy Ray, citing that he had just shared a video of Miley playing the piano with the caption, “Can’t wait to see this young lady. Crazy how time flies.”
Fans immediately flocked to Tish’s Instagram page comments, asking her why she had seemingly unfollowed Miley. The answer? “I didn’t! Idk what happened lol,” she wrote in response to one commenter. “Omg no idea how that happened,” she told another fan. She later updated fans, assuring them that the error had been fixed. And, indeed, if you search her current Follows, you’ll find Miley Cyrus—and Miley Cyrus fan sites! If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.
Need even more proof that Tish didn’t unfollow Miley on purpose? She celebrated her daughter’s new single, “More to Lose,” in her Instagram Stories on Friday, calling the song a “masterpiece.”
Fans will be relieved to hear that all is well between Miley and Tish, especially since the Cyrus matriarch seems to have reconciled with Noah. The two reportedly had a falling out in 2023, but appeared to be as close as ever last month when Noah guest-hosted Tish’s Sorry We’re Cyrus podcast, taking her older sister Brandi’s usual spot.
On the pod, Noah revealed that she moved close to her mother sometime last year. “That’s been so good for us. Being able to go on our walks and we found our new favorite ice cream truck,” Noah said. She also revealed that her mother was “really close” with her fiancé, Pinkus.
