‘The Young and the Restless’ Star Conner Floyd Breaks Silence After Shocking Exit originally appeared on Parade.
Conner Floyd has broken his silence after his dramatic The Young and the Restless exit as Chance. As Parade reported, it was no secret that the actor was leaving the soap ever since he joined Days of Our Lives.
What was a secret was how Chance would be written out of the CBS soap. Fans now know that Chance was killed, and they are not happy about the ending of a legacy family.

After Chance’s fate was revealed, Floyd took to Instagram to address his exit. In a video set to “B-Boys Makin’ With The Freak Freak” by Beastie Boys, Floyd shared behind-the-scenes footage from the show featuring many of his co-stars.
“It’s been real GC. What a ride. I have truly been blessed to call myself a citizen of Genoa City. To share the stage with so many talented and hard working actors, creatives and crew members. This is without a doubt a special place. I’m grateful to have been a part of such an iconic piece of art that has lasted through the decades and that has such a stellar, die hard fan base,” began the caption.
The soap star then added a shoutout toThe Young and the Restlessfans.
“Thank you for accepting me. Chance will always have a close place in my heart. He’s taught me a lot and I’ll miss him dearly. It’s been an absolute honor to represent the Chancellor legacy. Detective Chancellor, over and out,” Floyd ended his message.

A few of Floyd’s Y&R family members popped up in the comments to share some sweet words with him.
“Its been a pleasure, homie. Get get it!! 🙌,” wrote Jason Thompson (Billy). Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) kept it simple, writing, “Conner!!❤️❤️❤️.”
Floyd’s former on-screen partner in crime, Melissa Ordway (Abby), declared, “You’re a rockstar… so excited for your next chapter! ❤️.”
It will be a while before fans see Floyd on Days of Our Lives. Due to the Peacock soap’s advanced filming schedule, Floyd won’t debut as Chad until April 2026.
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
