As if!

Twink Caplan, who played Miss Toby Geist in the beloved 1995 movie Clueless, was spotted for the first time in five years.

Caplan, 77, was photographed running errands in Los Angeles on Friday, April 25. The ‘90s actress wore a colorful top with cargo pants and still had her signature red hair, per pictures obtained by The U.S. Sun.

Caplan’s timing is curious as a Clueless TV series is in the works at Peacock, Variety reported earlier this month.

While Alicia Silverstone is confirmed to reprise her role as the iconic Cher Horowitz, it’s unclear if Caplan will be a part of the project.

As fans may remember, the first TV adaptation of Clueless — which Caplan was on as Miss Geist — aired from 1996 to 1999.

Even if Caplan doesn’t return, it’s safe to say that she will always have fond memories of the franchise.

Speaking with Today on the 25th anniversary of the film in July 2020, she reflected on what it’s like to be recognized for her character. “It moves me to think that I would move anybody or that they would like me that much,” Caplan gushed at the time.

“Oh, what a great time in life. It was so pure and happy. And the jokes were amazing. But it was a time where all the characters loved each other. They were real friends. And they were rooting for each other,” Caplan mused. “That’s what’s so wonderful about Clueless: it was happy. And I think you get happy when you watch it because there’s no enemy. There’s no bad guy.”

She also made it clear that Silverstone, 48, will forever be the perfect person to play Cher Horowitz. “There’s no one in the world that could have played this role because she was so beautiful and so naively approachable and so kind and funny,” Caplan said.
