‘The Bachelor’s’ Joey Graziadei Reveals What Makes Fiancée Kelsey Anderson ‘Marriage Material’ originally appeared on Parade.
Former Bachelor star Joey Graziadei is revealing now he knew fiancée Kelsey Anderson was “the one.”
The Bachelor alum proposed to Anderson during the season 28 finale of the show, which aired in March 2024, and they’ve been together ever since.
On the Wednesday, July 30 episode of the podcast Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey, Graziadei revealed the two things that make someone “marriage material” — and said he’s found both with Anderson.
“For me, I think marriage material is… First, the biggest thing is the choice of wanting to be with someone else,” he said. “Like, choosing to be loyal and committed because relationships are hard.”
“You have to choose that,” he explained, adding that to be “marriage material,” one has to think, “I am putting everything into this relationship and I know there’s going to be tough times and I’m not going to run away from them.”
“So I think loyalty is the biggest thing I would say for marriage material,” Graziadei continued. “And I would say just trying to have the feeling of having fun, like knowing that life is going to throw so many different things and just enjoying life with someone,”
He concluded, “And I think I got both of that in the person I’m with, which I’m stoked.”
Despite admitting his fiancée is marriage material, Graziadei has no plans on tying the knot anytime soon. Shortly after their season The Bachelor ended, the couple shared their plans to have a “long engagement” before getting married.
“We want to promise our lives together, but we don’t want to rush it,” Graziadei said in March 2024. “It’s time now to enjoy this. We have the rest of our lives to celebrate it. We’re going to take it day by day and just enjoy this time.”
