Taylor Swift fans might need to look to the stars to interpret her latest Easter eggs.
The pop star, 35, announced the October 3 release date of her upcoming 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, while appearing on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday, August 13. While Swifties immediately recognized the significance of the drop date adding up to the singer’s favorite number, 13, there are deeper astrological clues to notice as well.
“It is also your birthday week,” Swift told Travis, 35, whose birthday falls two days after The Life of a Showgirl comes out.
Jason, 37, then noted how several members of the Kelce family have birthdays near the release date.

“We got [my and wife Kylie Kelce’s daughter] Wyatt October 2, we got you [Travis] October 5, and then we got Mom [Donna Kelce] October 9,” he said. “So, this is a good month.”
Travis added: “It’s gonna be a good week.”
Swift subsequently mentioned the astrological connection to the release date and the birthdays.
“I picked a good month — all these Libras out here, the Opal birthstones,” she said, seemingly referring to one of the album’s song titles, “Opalite.”
In true Swift fashion, both the record’s release and Travis’ birthday occurring in Libra season seems like an intentional nod to her relationship with the NFL star, which began in the summer of 2023. Libras are governed by the love planet Venus and known for enjoying meaningful partnerships. The Opal birthstone is also linked to the zodiac sign and evokes loyalty, hope and emotional clarity.
Swift, whose December 13 birthday makes her a Sagittarius, will also be in her Jupiter Return when The Life of a Showgirl comes out. The astrological event only happens once every 12 years — fitting for her 12th album — when the planet returns to the exact place it was at when a person was born.
