Stanley Tucci’s Hit Show Is Coming Back for a Second Season—Here’s What We Know So Far originally appeared on Parade.

If you’re not one of the lucky tourists able to indulge in an iconic aperol spritz or heavenly meals in Italy this summer, National Geographic just gave viewers the next best thing. A promise that loyal fans will be getting a followup season of Stanley Tucci’s latest Italy-focused travel show, “Tucci In Italy.”

Because, if we can’t enjoy food in Italy, watching Stanley Tucci recap the exquisite regional meals is pretty much the next best thing.

In a “Deadline” exclusive, the outlet confirmed that the Tucci travel series would be returning for a second season shortly after the first wrapped. Fans are in for an additional five episodes, with one episode per unique Italian region.

Fans have already been transported to the Italian regions of Tuscany, Lombardy, Abruzzo, Lazio and Trentino-Alto Adige in the series’ freshman season. This time around, we can expect that we’ll be daydreaming of one all-new Tucci unexplored territory—Le Marche—and returns to locations the Emmy winner has been before—Sardinia, Sicily, Veneto and Campania.

Diehard fans of Tucci’s travels will easily recall that the star’s CNN Italy-focused series, “Searching for Italy,” was canceled after its second season. It makes the continuation of this National Geographic series that much more exciting.

According to “Deadline,” viewers can anticipate that Tucci will continue to meet with experts while exploring the region’s food. As National Geographic describes about the show’s first season, Tucci “unlock[s]” what makes each region unique.

Each episode is further shaped by “who he meets, what he eats and what he learns,” which “all lead[s] to the creation of a meal that captures that region’s very essence.”

There’s no confirmed air date for the premiere of the second season quite yet. But, considering how fast this news came since the first season finished airing, we’ll take that as a sign word of when the second season will drop isn’t far off.

Until then, we’ll be rewatching episodes of the series Critic Choice Awards winning first season. You can stream previous episodes on Hulu and Disney+, or (if you don’t have any streaming services) rewatch the show for free on National Geographic’s website.
