All eyes were on Sofia Coppola and her family at Paris Fashion Week.
The filmmaker and Oscar winner, 54, stepped out for a rare outing alongside her daughters, Romy and Cosima Mars, at the Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show on July 8.
Inspired by the brand, the trio wore coordinating pastel looks with a preppy twist to the star-studded front row, which also housed Lorde, Gracie Abrams, Keira Knightley and Kirsten Dunst, who starred in multiple of Coppola’s films, including 1999’s The Virgin Suicides.

As the matriarch, Coppola wore a laid-back look featuring a gray T-shirt layered under a round-collar baby blue jacket teamed with white pants, a chainlink shoulder bag and slingback heels.
Romy, 18, selected a baby blue minidress teamed with black ankle-strap heels, silver jewelry and a quilted clutch, while Cosima, 15, went for a baby pink co-ord and block heels.
The teens also showed off their personalized glam. While Romy opted for a dramatic eyeliner look and a romantic half-up hairstyle with curled ends, Cosima decided to match her outfit with blush pink makeup.
Coppola — who welcomed Romy in November 2006 and Cosima in May 2010 with her husband and Phoenix lead singer, Thomas Mars — has largely kept her family life out of the limelight, though has opened up about motherhood in past interviews.
“I’m always asking working mothers questions,” she told PEOPLE at the 2010 screening of her film Somewhere. “I’m trying to figure it all out because I feel like I’m just learning,” she said, adding that “having a really great nanny to help me while I’m working so I don’t worry and know that they’re taken care of [is key].”

Years, later Coppola told the The Guardian in 2017 that she chose to keep her children out of the public eye because, “I don’t want them ever to be jaded,” she explained. “I never saw the point of taking little kids to movie premieres and stuff. I just want them to have a childhood.”
Yet, recently Romy in particular, has been making her own mark on Hollywood.
She attend a Marc Jacobs fashion show with Coppola in February 2020 before making her modeling debut in a Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign later that year. And while she was previously known to not have public social media accounts, Romy went viral on TikTok in 2023 for sharing that she’d been grounded because she “tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland” on her dad’s credit card. The video has since been deleted.
Romy also started her music career in 2024, releasing singles “From a Distance” and “Stuck Up.” This past May, she debuted her recent track, “A-Lister,” a pop song she co-wrote that features tongue-in-cheek commentary on the surface-level lifestyles of the rich and famous.
