Sabrina Carpenter always kills it.
The “Please, Please, Please” singer found a way to channel her sweet, playful, bombshell style in a suited-up look at the 2025 Met Gala.
The monochrome maroon fit was composed of a corset bodysuit with super-thin black pinstripes, and a matching extra-cropped blazer with silver buttons along the sides. At the neckline, slivers of a white dress shirt collar adorned with silver buttons and dangly silver chains peeked out.
Carpenter skipped the pants all together, instead wearing the look with maroon platform heels, diamond rings, and a glossy pink manicure with silver accents. The back of her bodysuit turned into a long train, which trailed after her on the blue carpet.
Her look embraced the evening’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and the dress code “Tailored for You.” This suit was, indeed, perfectly tailored for Carpenter.
But while we’re anxiously waiting to see what our favorite celebrities will wear for the first Monday in May, we already got a glimpse of the style to come with a few pre-Met Gala parties, which were hosted by brands like Moda Operandi, LaQuan Smith, and more, and attended by celebrities like Sabrina Carpenter, Anne Hathaway, Laura Harrier, Ariana DeBose, and Rihanna, among others.
The pop star always delivers at the Met Gala. For the 2022 Met Gala, Carpenter shone in a golden bra and matching flowing skirt. And last year, she was a full pop princess in a black strapless gown that flowed into a billowing Cinderella-blue skirt. The piece was courtesy of Oscar de la Renta, and the Short n’ Sweet star wore itwith towering black platform heels and layers of diamonds.
This year, Carpenter kicked off the Met Gala celebrations early, as she was among the VIPs who attended pre-gala bashes around New York City. The singer was spotted arriving at Moda Operandi’s cocktail party held at The Twenty Two Hotel, and for the occasion, she wore a sequined baby-blue dress (a color she also wore to this year’s Grammys) with a super-high leg slit. She styled it simply with beige platform heels and her big, blonde Hollywood curls.
