Legendary rocker Bob Seger is celebrating his 80th birthday with well-wishes from his longtime manager and dozens of fans.

The “Old Time Rock & Roll” singer, who turned 80 on Tuesday, May 6, was greeted with a throwback photo and a heartfelt message from Punch Andrews, who has worked with Seger for decades — serving more than 50 years as his manager and producing the majority of the musician’s albums (both his solo records and as the frontman of the Silver Bullets Band.)

Taking to Seger’s official social media accounts on Tuesday, Andrews posted a vintage, undated black-and-white photo of him and Seger.

“Thanks for the many, MANY years, and a very long (lifetime) of friendship,” Andrews captioned the snap. “Happy Birthday. -Punch.”

The “Against the Wind” artist — whose 80th birthday was already honored with tributes from Rolling Stone and more outlets — also received a swarm of birthday wishes from his supporters.

Seger, who broke out in the ’70s thanks to his hit album Night Moves, still has those same fans following his career today.

“Happy Birthday Bob fan since I was 15!!!(now 71!),” one person commented on the musician’s Instagram.

“Have a great Birthday Bob Your music is still the Best !” another posted on Facebook, recalling his first Seger show in Buffalo, New York. “Back in the early 70’s,” the fan wrote. “Unbelievable Performance!”

A third person chimed in:

“Happy Birthday, Bob. I’ve loved you forever. I’ve seen your concerts about 5 times,” they penned. “Wish there were more shows coming.”

Seger retired from performing following his 2019 run, Roll Me Away Tour.

After Silver Bullets bandmate Alto Reed died in 2020, Seger revealed on SiriusXM in 2021 (per the Detroit Free Press), that he doesn’t “think I could go out (on tour) without him.”

“You know, I’ve had a great life, oh my goodness,” the Grammy winner shared at the time, recalling his years on the road. “I loved what I did. Never worked a day in my life, really. The hard parts were in sleeping in hotels, having rotten food.”

“I’m a lucky guy. What can I say?” he concluded. “I got to do what I wanted to do.”
