Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling have reunited more than two years after their split.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 40, revealed that she attended the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans alongside her former estranged husband, 64, on Instagram — prompting a reaction from several of her friends.
In an Instagram video she shared on July 5, the reality star could be seen riding in a golf cart alongside Sterling as she told the camera, “Happy Essence!” She then panned the camera over to the lawyer who grinned widely. Afterward, she laughed and laid her head on his shoulder.
“Happy Essence! I’m floating🌻 soft launch,” she captioned the video alongside the hashtags “gang gang” and “essencefest.”
She also responded to one comment under the post that read, “She loves that man down!!!!,” to which she added, “and do!!!!!”
The post also garnered praise from her fellow Real Housewives costars, including Shamea Morton, who commented under the post, “🌻😍 Loved seeing y’all😍🌻.” The Real Housewives of New York star Ubah Hassan also praised the reunion, writing, “Cue the happy dances 😍😍😍😍😍.”
This comes two years after Marcille filed for divorce and stated that their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” according to documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time.
“This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,” Marcille told PEOPLE in a statement at the time. “Our children remain our biggest priority and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

The pair share three children: son 5-year-old Michael Sterling, Jr., whom they welcomed in 2018 and Maverick Sterling, 5. Sterling is also a father figure to Marcille’s 9-year-old daughter Marley Rae from her previous relationship with ex Kevin McCall.
Despite the split, Sterling has still been a presence in the RHOA’s star’s life, as she even wished him a “Happy Father’s Day” on Instagram a few months after announcing their divorce.

Alongside photos of him spending time with their three children, she wrote, “To the best father a child could ever deserve. Happy Father’s Day @miketsterling. May you know and properly appreciate how much we love you.”
Sterling has also continued to post photos alongside their three children on Instagram. On Christmas, he shared snaps from a photoshoot he did with the kids. The three could be seen playing with fall leaves.
“Merry Christmas from my family to yours,” he wrote. “We have moments and memories to make and cherish. We have love to give, and we have to give it. Time keeps coming. It doesn’t stop. Let us all enjoy this season and be grateful for what we do have!! Merry Christmas. Family business. From my family to yours.”
