Blake Lively celebrated the premiere of her newest movie Another Simple Favor in New York, on Sunday, April 27, and brought husband Ryan Reynolds along for support.
She dressed to impress for her big night, wearing a mint green Tamara Ralph gown with a figure-hugging lattice bodice and chiffon skirt, accessorizing with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Lively’s skirt billowed out into a delicate train that floated around her while she posed for photos on the red carpet at the event.
Reynolds, 48, who kept Lively, 37, close by his side on the carpet, did his best to avoid stepping on the gown’s train, but caught it under his foot a few times, as seen in social media videos captured by press.
In one, shared by Bustle, Reynolds steps one foot onto the train before quickly hopping back off, looking at the cameras and saying, “Whoa.”

In other videos from outside the event, it appears that both Lively and Reynolds caught the hem of the dress under their feet while walking. Lively could be seen trying to carry the train up higher to keep it from dragging on the ground and to keep herself from tripping — and apparently also to help keep both of them from stepping on the hem too much.

At the premiere, Lively was joined by the movie’s director Paul Feig and her costar Anna Kendrick. She also posed for photos with Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci and Hugh Jackman, who were there for support. Lively’s family, including her mother, Elaine Lively, sisters Robyn Lively and Lori Lively, niece Kate Johnson and brother-in-law Bart Johnson, was also there.
Lively’s attendance at Sunday night’s premiere comes amid her ongoing legal battle with her It Ends with Us director and costar Justin Baldoni, which kicked off in December 2024 as she sued him, alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign. Wayfarer Studios, Baldoni’s production company, was among others named in the suit.
Baldoni, 41, denied the allegations and countersued Lively and Reynolds, as well as the couple’s publicist Leslie Sloane and Sloane’s PR firm Vision PR, Inc., for $400 million, alleging defamation, civil extortion and more. A trial date set has been scheduled for March 2026.
Another Simple Favor is available to stream on Prime Video on May 1.
