Quincy Jones’ longtime Los Angeles estate is for sale.
The iconic producer died with family at his side at the age of 91 on Nov. 3, 2024. Six months later, his Bel Air home, which boasts views of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles, is hitting the market with a $59,995,000 price tag.
Built in the early 2000s, the custom home is nearly 25,000 square feet with four bedrooms. That includes a lushly appointed primary suite, complete with its own balcony that looks out on the property’s 2.3 acres, located at the end of a gated cul-de-sac.
Outside, buyers will be able to enjoy features such as an infinity pool, tennis court and pristine gardens.

David Kramer and Andrew Buss of the David Kramer Group currently hold the listing.
“This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest properties in all of Los Angeles. There are homes built for spec, and others that seem to trade hands often — but then there are homes like this, which almost never come to market,” Kramer said of the home.

Buss echoed the sentiment, praising the home for its “exceptional” details and the “A+ location.”
“It’s the kind of property where every element — location, land, views, privacy and architecture—aligns in a way that’s almost never seen,” Buss said.

Quincy’s daughter Rashida Jones also opened up about the home, saying that her dad adored it.
“He created it from the ground up with his boundless imagination and the talent of his high school friend, legendary architect Jerry Allison,” she said, adding, “Our family has a lifetime worth of wonderful memories and meaning imbued in this home. We hope the new owner will continue the legacy of love and laughter and beauty that is synonymous with the name Quincy Jones.”

The estate was modeled after the Palace of the Lost City, a hotel in South Africa, which was also built by Allison.
It is built around a central wing, which has a spacious and open living room. The wing also features a library and a wine bar and cellar. The primary suite is in its own separate wing, with the remaining three bedrooms in another.
After his death, Quincy was mourned by many of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Celine Dion, who described him as a “musical genius” and a “cherished mentor.”
“I am heartbroken to learn of the passing of my friend, the one and only musical genius, Quincy Jones,” she wrote on Instagram, adding, “Quincy touched my world as both a cherished mentor and also as someone I looked up to for his deep impact on virtually every form of American music.”

He was honored at the 2025 Oscars with tributes from the likes of Queen Latifah, where he was set to receive an honorary Oscar. Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg also reunited during the ceremony in his honor.
Quincy was laid to rest in a private ceremony with family a week after he died. It was revealed that his cause of death was pancreatic cancer.
“He was a giant. An icon. A culture shifter. A genius. All accurate descriptions of my father but his music (and ALL of his work) was a channel for his love. He WAS love. He made everyone he ever met feel loved and seen. That’s his legacy,” Rashida wrote in an Instagram tribute to her father.
She continued, “I was fortunate enough to experience this love in close proximity. I’ll miss his hugs and kisses and unconditional devotion and advice. Daddy, it is an honor to be your daughter. Your love lives forever.”
