A Sunday father-daughter date is always a good idea—especially when it involves cheering on your country in a major championship match.
Princess Charlotte joined Prince William for a surprise appearance in Switzerland, where the two took in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final between England and Spain. It marked a milestone outing for the 10-year-old royal as her very first overseas soccer game.
Prince William’s appearance was part of his official role as president of the Football Association. He headed to St. Jakob-Park in Basel to cheer on the Lionesses, England’s women’s national team, in the high-stakes final.
In recent years, William has been an outspoken supporter of the team, making visits to their training grounds and even traveling to their earlier EURO match against the Netherlands on July 9. His latest appearance—alongside Charlotte—comes during the royal family’s unofficial summer break, with Prince George and Prince Louis also off from school.
This is not the first time the royal has brought his and Princess Kate’s children along for a major sporting event. Just two weeks earlier, Charlotte and George joined their parents for the Wimbledon men’s final, watching from the Royal Box.
The family came dressed for the occasion and wore coordinating shades of blue. Prince William and Prince George matched in suits and ties, while Kate opted for a powder-blue short-sleeved dress.
Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, wore a white ruffled sundress and had her hair tied back in a braid, finished with a light blue bow that mirrored her mom’s ensemble.
