Orlando Bloom, Bryce Dallas Howard and Nick Mohammed Reveal Their Least Glamorous Jobs originally appeared on Parade.
It’s been a couple of years since Orlando Bloom’s last film Gran Tourismo was released, but he’s back at it again alongside Bryce Dallas Howard and Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed. The three star in the new Amazon Prime Video action-comedy, Deep Cover.
The film centers around three down-on-their-luck improv comedians who go undercover to help the police. Bloom, who plays Marlon in the film, is seen in a Christmas elf getup as he does advertising on the side of the road in London.

As it turns out, the Deep Cover cast has had their fair share of not-so-glamorous jobs. “My first job, I was a clay trapper,” the Pirates of the Caribbean actor tells Parade. “And I was only 13. It’s really hard to do!”
For those not familiar with UK gentlemen’s shooting activities, Bloom is referring to the physically difficult role of running the machinery that sends the clay pigeons flying up into the air to be shot.
As for Mohammed, he worked as a wedding magician. “I did a lot of close-up magic at weddings and hotels and things,” he says. “I really enjoyed it, but often it could be, you know, you’re approaching a drunk table, and they don’t really want to see magic, but you kind of got to be there because it’s been paid for.”
“And so you just have to be like, ‘Hey, do you want to see a card trick?’ Mohammed continues. “And they’re like, ‘No,’ but you have to stay.”

Despite being the daughter of director Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard had a rather unglamorous set of early jobs, working on an assembly line and as a cashier at a deli.
“Working on an assembly line at an allergy control product center,” the Jurassic World actress immediately answers.
“But it ended up being a great job because I was like, ‘If we roll the TV in here, we could watch a lot of movies.’” Howard continues. “This was when I was in high school, and it was a bunch of high school students, and so we watched so many movies. It was fantastic!”
Deep Cover is available to stream on Prime Video as of Thursday, June 12.
