Nicole Curtis announced that she made “an executive decision” to delay new episodes of Rehab Addict to the fall

Nicole Curtis surprised fans by announcing the shelving of Rehab Addict from the HGTV schedule after only two episodes of the new season aired.
Curtis, 48, announced the decision in on Instagram on Thursday, July 10, alongside a brief video of herself on a boat, wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap. “‘You look happier.’ Thanks, I moved Rehab Addict to Fall Airdates,” she wrote in a caption overlaid on the video.
“First, THANK YOU for making Rehab Addict a number one rated show, again,” Curtis elaborated in the caption. “You came out and shocked the heck out of all of us with the numbers ❤️❤️ if you missed the first two, watch them now streaming or don’t worry, I’m bringing those back along with the other new ones.”
“Second, here’s what is going on …I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall,” she continued. “I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice. It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family +me) thought -why are we giving up Summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall ?”
Curtis then thanked the network for their support and shut down speculation that they purposefully replaced her screen time.
“Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea. Third, without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it 😀,” she wrote.

Curtis said HGTV will air My Lottery Dream Home in the timeslots set aside for Rehab Addict. The series is hosted by David Bromstead.
“Fun fact, David Bromstead was my pregnancy beach buddy as we were filming and living next to each other in Gulf Shores Alabama for Beach Flip (they just added those episodes to HboMax and Discovery+),” Curtis wrote. “So, don’t be spreading rumors that he replaced me-I chose it ❤️.”

Rehab Addict recently returned to HGTV after Curtis stepped away from the network for three years. In June, Curtos told PEOPLE she recently experienced a “setback” that “just rocked” her to the core.
“I had a setback in my life that just rocked me to the core, and it was one of those moments where I thought, how do I get through this one?” she said at the time.
“I prayed on it and it was just devastating for me,” Curtis continued. “I had to make a decision right there and then like, ‘Okay, we’re going to let this affect us for a very long time, or we’re going to pick it up and go.’ ”
The first two episodes of season nine of Rehab Addict are streaming on HBO Max now.
