Nick Cannon is commemorating what would have been his son Zen‘s fourth birthday.
The Masked Singer host and father of 12 shared a special Instagram video in honor of his late son on Monday, June 23, where he announced a new partnership in Zen’s name with the hopes of “keeping his spirit alive.”

Cannon, 44, lost Zen, his first child with model Alyssa Scott, in December 2021. At just five months old, Zen passed away from a rare form of brain cancer.
“Today, we celebrate what would have been my son Zen’s fourth birthday. Though he was with us for a brief time, his light continues to inspire others through the work of the Zen’s Light Foundation,” Cannon wrote via Instagram on Monday.

“In honor of Zen, I’m proud to announce that we’re partnering with ReisFields to launch the ‘Zen’s Light: A Celebration of Life Candle,'” he added along with the video, which featured Cannon and members of his family lighting the candles in Zen’s memory. “Every purchase goes directly to supporting families affected by childhood cancer and other diseases.”
“Join me in remembering Zen today and helping us bring comfort and hope to those in need,” Cannon added under the emotional clip, while adding, Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”
Cannon, who shares a total of 12 children with six different women, went on to welcome his second child with Scott one year after Zen’s passing. In December 2022, the pair welcomed a baby girl named Halo.
