Jeremy Renner faces serious allegations from filmmaker Yi Zhou, who claims he sent her unsolicited nudes and threatened to call ICE on her. Renner’s lawyer has denied the allegations, setting the stage for a complex legal battle.
Filmmaker Yi Zhou has accused Jeremy Renner of sending her unsolicited nudes and threatening to call ICE on her. Renner’s lawyer has denied the allegations, calling them “false, outrageous, and highly defamatory.”
The allegations have sparked a legal dispute, with Zhou sharing what appears to be a cease-and-desist letter addressed to Renner demanding he “cease threatening, intimidating, and disrespectful conduct.”
Zhou’s accusations include claims that Renner sent her unsolicited nude images and threatened to contact immigration authorities. Renner’s lawyer, Martin Singer, dismissed these allegations, stating that Zhou has been aggressively pursuing Renner for months with no reciprocation on his part, other than a single brief encounter in Reno in July 2025.
Singer claimed that Renner and Zhou met again in August after the actor ignored “sexually explicit messages expressing her love” for him. Zhou responded by sharing an Instagram post detailing her alleged professional and personal history with Renner, including a long-distance relationship that she described as “love.”
Zhou alleged that Renner sent “unsolicited intimate photos and messages that were uninvited and inappropriate” and that the first physical encounter was not consensual. She also claimed that after continued unwanted sexual content and increasing online harassment by associated fan accounts, she opted to issue a cease-and-desist letter to Renner, which she shared in another post.
Zhou’s intention in speaking out is “not retaliation but transparency,” aiming to protect her professional reputation and set boundaries. She added, “I have the right to protect my professional reputation, to set boundaries, and to correct misinformation when selective reporting distorts the facts.”
The allegations have been met with varied responses from fans and industry professionals, with many awaiting further developments in the ongoing legal dispute.
