On Thursday, May 22, the mom of two shared an adorable snap of her and her 16-year-old daughter wearing matching gold sparkly shirts as they enjoyed a mother-daughter evening in New York City.
Both Watts and her daughter wore their blonde hair down and paired their shirt with black clothing. While the actress completed her outfit with a natural makeup look, Kai added dramatic winged eyeliner and smoky eyeshadow.

Watts shares Kai and her 17-year-old son Sasha with ex Liev Schreiber.
On March 24, the actress and her daughter enjoyed another special moment together at the premiere for The Friend. Watts, a lead actress in the Scott McGehee and David Siegel-directed film, introduced the teenager during her solo walk on the carpet before joining her.
“This is my daughter, Kai!” Watts said as her daughter walked the carpet. After Kai’s solo walk was completed, Watts rejoined her on the carpet and the duo posed together for pictures. While Watts smiled big for pictures with her daughter, Kai maintained her straight-faced model pose.
Earlier that month, Kai made her runway debut in Paris, France. The teen was the spitting image of her parents as she walked for Valentino during Paris Fashion Week.
During the show, the teenager emerged from a red stall door and strutted down the red runway. She wore a long-sleeve animal-print minidress with a feathered neckline, as well as white lace tights, blue-tinted sunglasses and white pumps with a floral detail around the ankle. Her blonde hair was styled into a sleek bun and covered by a nude head wrap.
Kai, who is represented by IMG models, shared some behind-the-scenes snaps of her catwalk debut on Instagram, including photos of the teen getting her hair and makeup done. “omggg my heart is so full 💗 ilysm,” she captioned the post.
The King Kong actress also shared her excitement in an Instagram post. “That’s my @maisonvalentino baby! I’m squealing with pride,” Watts wrote in the caption. “Ilysm @kaischreiberrr ❤️.”

While her split from Schreiber came as a surprise to the public, Watts and her former partner have been open about remaining friends and putting their children first.
“We’re doing things very differently. I’m pretty proud of us, corny as that may sound,” Watts told Net-a-Porter in August 2019. “We’ve made it our absolute priority to be good and kind to each other and we’re absolutely committed to that.”
Watts and Schreiber have reunited plenty of times since their amicable split. They appeared in a TikTok video with their children in 2020 and celebrated Kai’s middle school graduation in 2022 alongside Watts’ now-husband Billy Crudup and Schreiber’s now-wife Taylor Neisen.
