According to new reports, there is hope for a complete reconciliation within the Cyrus family thanks to Brandi’s career milestone. The DJ scored the opening act position for country singer Kenny Chesney’s Las Vegas residency.

A source noted her win had positively impacted her family during these turbulent times, noting they put aside their differences to celebrate Brandi’s win.

“There has been a lot of sadness and heaviness for everyone in the family to cope with, so when they do have something positive to focus on, they really go for it,” the insider claimed.

“When Brandi got news that she’d landed this gig, Miley threw a huge surprise party for her to celebrate. This gig is massive for Brandi. She’s had to contend with living in Miley’s shadow for so long,” the insider told In Touch, adding:

“Everyone is thrilled to see her getting something so monumental and high profile of her own. She’s always been so supportive of everyone else’s career, so it does feel like it’s her turn and very much deserved.”

The source added that Brandi’s achievement could not have happened at a better time, noting her music gig had partially helped her family reunite and rebuild their relationship.

“It’s not going to bring the family totally back together or heal the wounds, but it has been a bridge for connection,” the informant claimed.

The whole clan was proud of Brandi, with the source noting Billy Ray had sent his congratulations while Noah and Braison “talked about coming to see the show.” The oldest of the Cyrus daughters broke the news of her opening act position on Instagram with a gushy message.

Brandi raved about being the performing act for all of Chesney’s shows at The Sphere on March 15. She described her achievement as “a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” adding her excitement to create a special show for fans once the Las Vegas residency kicked off on May 22.

The rift in the Cyrus family started after Billy Ray and Tish ended their romance after 28 years in 2022. Their children Noah and Braison seemed significantly upset about their breakup, with the pair seemingly choosing their father’s side by skipping their mom’s 2023 union to actor Dominic Purcell.

On the other hand, Miley, Brandi, and Trace attended the wedding ceremony. News of Noah and Tish’s broken bond made waves over an alleged love triangle involving Purcell, but the mother and daughter have since reconciled. The pair confirmed they were back on good terms in a fun TikTok post on April 9.

The drama continued with Miley and Billy Ray’s continued strained relationship. The “Hannah Montana” alum has been vocal about her complicated bond with her father and criticized him in a 2024 appearance on David Letterman’s “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” show.
