Off-topic to begin the article, but Apple’s iSight camera was peak design. I wish it still existed. I think Apple could sell a lot of them today if it were extremely high quality. With that being said, when I unboxed AMEGAT’s new Qi2 desk charger, I immediately thought of the iSight.

Design
As I said, it looks like a modern take on the iSight. The iPhone sits on the front and can be tilted up or down depending on your desired angle. The AirPods charger is on the base, and the Apple Watch charger sits up top. It has a braided USB-C cable and a wall adapter, which is always appreciated.
One surprise I wasn’t expecting was the active cooling. It’s a fantastic addition for daily charging and very quiet. I could barely hear it, even in a quiet room. If you’re not a fan of the active cooling, there’s a physical switch on the top to turn it off.
Daily use
In daily use, it’s really a great option on either a desk or nightstand. The 15W Qi2 charging makes a real difference if your device supports it. Its fast and consistent charging speeds (largely thanks to the cooling). I don’t charge my iPhone overnight, so I’ve been dropping my iPhone on it first thing when I sit down to work. AirPods charge on the base with no issues, and I really like the placement of the Apple Watch charger.
If you’re placing it on a nightstand and you’re using StandBy mode at night, it works well for that, too. It doesn’t slide around and feels solid with one hand when placing or removing your iPhone.
Qi2 is the key here feature for future-proofing it. It’s what enables the 15W charging speeds on supported iPhones.
Wrap up
AMEGAT’s MagFusion 3-in-1 charger is one of the best-looking Qi2 chargers I’ve used so far. I love how it mimics Apple’s iSight, and it’s overall a nice addition to any desk. The adjustable angle, Qi2, and nearly silent cooling fan make it easy to recommend. Feature-wise, it checks all the boxes, and design-wise, I love it.
