Liam Neeson’s son Daniel seems to be a fan of his dad’s new relationship.

The actor is currently dating his Naked Gun costar Pamela Anderson. And during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday, Aug. 3, the host jokingly told Neeson, 73, and Anderson, 58, that he wouldn’t ask for specifics on their relationship status.

But he couldn’t resist harping on it a little. “I do just want to say, as a very old friend of yours, all of your friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say,” Andy Cohen further told the couple — before turning to Daniel, 28, in the audience for confirmation.

“Right, Danny?” asked Cohen, 57, to which Daniel replied “Yes!” with a smile.

In response to Cohen’s words, Anderson and Neeson shared a sweet glance before the Taken actor reached over and put his hand on the Last Showgirl actress’s shoulder.

Neeson shares Daniel and his older brother Micheál, 30, with his late wife, Natasha Richardson.

After meeting in 1993, the couple wed the following year. The Parent Trap actress tragically died in March 2009 at age 45, after being involved in a skiing accident.

Speaking to PEOPLE in October 2024, Neeson explained that he was not looking for love years after the devastating loss of his wife. “No, in a word. I’m past all that,” he simply said.

However, a source close to The Naked Gun told PEOPLE on Tuesday, July 29, that the pair are “in the early stages” of dating, adding that Neeson and Anderson are “enjoying each other’s company.”

“It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” explained the insider.

This isn’t the first time Daniel has shown support for his dad. On July 28, he and Micheál attended a premiere for The Naked Gun in New York City. It was truly a family affair as the actress’s sons Dylan, 27, and Brandon, 29, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee, were also in attendance.

Daniel, who was only 12 when Richardson died, reflected on his loss on the anniversary of his mom’s death in 2024, writing on Instagram, “15 years since you’ve left this plane onto forever more.”

“I look forward to re uniting one day but for now I take solace in knowing you’re beside me every step of the way. Hopefully, I’m making you proud,” he continued. “I think you would definitely be proud of my margarita skills. She was the OG margarita mama!”

Daniel went on, “As a kid, I used to ask her for a sip of hers, and she would gently say not till you’re older. Little did she know I would one day start my own tequila brand and have way too many margaritas at my finger tips.”

“My aunt, @joelyrichardsonsinsta who always brightens my day, said to me this week that we sometimes forget that we’re on an ever spinning planet. Change is inevitable, and we must embrace it with open arms,” he continued

Daniel concluded his tribute, “If you’re a believer or not in quantum physics, the past, future and present coexist. We’re all interconnected here and over there through love. The greatest life force. choose it above all else.”
