Lewis Hamilton is revealing a new Mezcal-inspired drink, Almave Humo

Lewis Hamilton is launching Almave Humo, a new Mezcal-inspired beverage product in his premium non-alcoholic line Almave, in partnership with Casa Lumbre. The drink provides a high-quality smoky drink for traditional Mezcal lovers to sip on rocks or neat — without the alcohol.
“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved with this latest innovation,” Hamilton said. “I think Almave drinkers will really enjoy the unique, smoky taste of Almave Humo.”

The Formula One driver, 40, stopped drinking alcohol two years ago as a way to adhere to his strict training regimen. Hamilton shared that alcohol distracted him from reaching his peak both athletically and mentally in an interview with Vogue in November 2023. The seven-time F1 champion also confided he’d “suffer for several days,” after hard nights out.
After announcing his abstinence from alcohol, Hamilton then partnered with Casa Lumbre co-founder and master distiller Iván Saldaña in October 2023. The two created Almave, the non-alcoholic distilled spirit brand.

Almave uses Espadin agave, the same plant that is used to make tequila and mezcal, to create their alcohol free drink — except it isn’t fermented after the distilling process.
“Iván and I have been talking about exploring further into the discovery of mezcal since launching Almave,” Hamilton said. “I’ve learned so much from his dedication to agave.
Almave Humo joins two other “spirits” in the line, Almave Blanco and Ámbar.
Despite a slow start to the season in his Ferrari debut, the British racing driver has won more races than any other driver in the history of the category — with a total of 105 F1 Grand Prix victories.
“Almave Humo offers distinct, smoky notes for those seeking complex cocktails while embracing a lifestyle beyond proof,” Saldaña said. “Our contributions to the non-alcoholic category have proven that we are pioneering a new drinking culture that meets the needs of today’s evolved consumer.”
Almave Humo is available on the brand’s website and retails for $36.99 per 700mL bottle.
