What would the annual Met Gala be without an appearance from Kim Kardashian?
Kardashian, 44, seemingly confirmed her attendance to the Monday, May 5, fashion fundraiser several days earlier, as she offered social media followers a brief peek into her intense beauty regimen.
“A must before the Met! @simonourianmd1,” the Skims mogul wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, May 2, sharing a selfie with the cosmetic dermatologist. “Simply the best.”
Kardashian, who did not further address how Ourian helped her get gala-ready, has been a staple at the famed Metropolitan Museum of Art benefit since 2013. Last year, she stunned in a waist-cinching, silver Maison Margiela Couture gown with a cozy gray cardigan thrown on top.

“This is, like, the wildest night of my life in a garden and I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on and had to get to work,” Kardashian told Vogue of her red carpet inspiration. “And my hair is all messed up!”
The 2024 Met Gala, themed around “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and had a “Garden of Time” dress code, was Kardashian’s 11th time attending. Monday’s festivities, which will be her 12th, highlight dandyism and the theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Guests are encouraged to follow a dress code titled “Tailored for You.”
“Dandyism can seem frivolous, but it often poses a challenge to or a transcendence of social and cultural hierarchies,” guest Met curator Monica Miller told Vogue of the dress code and theme. “It asks questions about identity, representation, and mobility in relation to race, class, gender, sexuality and power. This exhibition explores dandyism as both a pronouncement and a provocation.”
Monica’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, also helped inspire the exhibit.
The 2025 Met Ball is cochaired by Anna Wintour, Pharrell Williams, ASAP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo and LeBron James.
