Kelly Clarkson’s Cellist ‘Forever Grateful’ After Viral Moment originally appeared on Parade.
Kelly Clarkson recently went viral when she stopped her performance of a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” at a show during her Las Vegas residency to give props to one of the musicians in her backing band.
“Oh my god, I missed this part in rehearsal,” she said, looking over at her band. “That was so beautiful. I can’t even… Ismael.. what the f–k? We did this in soundcheck and you did not do that. Can we do it again? I wasn’t ready. Oh my God! Start over. Do it again. I want to watch.”

In wake of all the attention, the man playing the cello,Ismael Ariel Guerrero Bombut, is now collecting more flowers in a post on Instagram and is praising Clarkson for the opportunity and attention.
“Can’t believe this moment was captured on camera. My heart is so full, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity,” he posted on Aug. 3. along with video of the performance and Clarkson’s stunned reaction.
Over the video, Bombut wrote, “Kelly Clarkson stopped the show just to hear my solo again…I’m still processing.” He also captioned Clarkson’s words in English with Spanish translation.

Fans reacted to Bombut’s post with praise.
“What a special moment!! I love that she acknowledged you in this way!🤗,” one wrote.
“This brought such a huge smile to my face. I’m so glad she recognizes the talent that she has. You are truly him, I keep tellin ya,” another fan posted.

Now we’re waiting for Radiohead to weigh in with their thoughts on Clarkson’s cover and Bombut’s accompaniment on the cello.
Clarkson’s residency, billed as “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions, The Las Vegas Residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace,” runs through Nov. 15.
