Katy Perry took a break from space and stepped onto the Met Gala red carpet for “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”—at least, that’s what her dedicated fans want, since they edited AI pics of her on the carpet. Unfortunately, the “California Gurls” hitmaker was not in attendance as she’s currently on her Lifetimes Tour, but she shared artificially altered images of what she could have worn on the Met steps.
“Couldn’t make it to the MET, I’m on The Lifetimes Tour (see you in Houston tomorrow IRL‼️)” she wrote, in part.

Her husband, Orlando Bloom, even weighed in with a comment. “Not once but twice 😂 still got it 🔥,” he wrote, referring to Katy’s similar AI mishap last year. At the time, she debunked AI-edited images with a similar Instagram post and revealed that it fooled her mom.
“lol mom the AI got you too, BEWARE!” Katy wrote in a text to her mom, who dropped the edited pic to her.

FYI, Katy last attended the Met Gala in 2022, but she told Vogue that she really felt like she “belonged” in the fashion world at the 2017 Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: The Art of In-Between Met Gala, where she wore a red Maison Margiela look.

I didn’t want to wear something that was designer just because it was designer,.
