Joe Perry Hints at Aerosmith Reunion Despite Farewell Tour originally appeared on Parade.
Aerosmith fans were devastated when Steven Tyler’s fractured larynx forced the band to cancel their farewell tour in August 2024, but now, Joe Perry has given AeroForce One (the group’s fanbase’s name) a glimmer of hope.
“We’re actually talking quite a bit. I know our touring days are over, but I don’t know. We’re all flesh and blood. I don’t know, man,” Perry, 77, said in a July 30 interview with WZXL’s Kenny Young. “I would say, at some point we will all be together on the same stage… If I was a betting man, which I am, I would say, at some point something’s gonna happen. But we’ll see.”
This isn’t the first time the legendary guitarist has hinted that fans shouldn’t count him and the rest of Aerosmith out for good. Earlier this year in June, Perry also mentioned the possibility of reuniting with his bandmates on stage. However, no one should expect a full blown tour from the iconic rock stars.

“Going on the road, it’s a big deal pulling that together. It’s one thing to sit there and look online and see who’s touring and stuff, and there’s dates that show up, but there’s so much planning, and what it takes out of you physically, it’s a lot more than people realize,” Perry said during an appearance on “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” on SiriusXM. “It’s one thing when you’re doing it when you’re 25 or 30, but it’s another when you’re starting to get up there like us. It’s a really physical thing, going out on stage. And all that energy that you’re putting out, that you’re transferring to the audience, it takes something out of you in a physical and emotional way. And all of that energy that you give, that’s flowing out there, that’s making people feel good, it takes it out of you.”
While no specific shows have been scheduled just yet, fans can breathe a small sigh of relief that there’s a possibility that they might get to see Aerosmith “Walk This Way” one more time.
