Family time is essential for the Kelce’s.
After fan photos surfaced on Instagram and X on Sunday, May 11, of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Talula’s Garden in Philadelphia, Jason Kelce exclusively opened up to PEOPLE about how he and his family celebrated Mother’s Day together.
“We had a whole crew in. We had a great brunch together, a day together,” Jason tells PEOPLE at the Amazon Upfront on Monday, May 12.
Jason attended the event with his brother Travis. Their podcast, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, is distributed by Amazon’s Wondery.

“It’s special when we all get to get together,” he says. “It’s hard. There’s a lot of things happening in everybody’s lives, so for all the girls and everybody, it was a good day.”
While speaking about Mother’s Day, the ESPN commentator also tells PEOPLE one thing he hopes his daughters inherit from his mother, Donna Kelce.
He and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are parents to 4 daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley “Finn” Anne, whom they welcomed in March.

“The thing that I would love to instill in my kids is my mom’s work ethic and her dedication and sacrifice,” he says.
“I think when you’re younger, you don’t realize a lot of that, but as you get older, Mom was working full-time jobs,” continues Jason. “She was cleaning a lot of the house. She was making a lot of the meals. I think at the time, it’s just your mom is being mom and you don’t realize everything that she’s doing so that you have opportunities and things to achieve your dreams.”
“So I think that for me, I would love my girls to really see that hard work and that sacrifice and things that have made her life amazingly successful and enjoyable,” the former Philadelphia Eagles player says.
He adds that the “biggest thing” he enjoys during the off-season is “being around the family more.”
“I think in season, I was doing Monday Night Football, you’re doing the podcast. You’re working a lot. I did the late-night show later in the season. So I think now that’s its the off season, you get time to be around the family more,” he says.

“We’re going to be down the shore a lot this year, which we’re looking forward to again, as always. So yeah, I mean, that’s the thing that you most look forward to,” he adds, noting that he is also looking forward to spending more time with Travis.
