Forget a telescope, because last night, you could get a glimpse of the stars just by looking at Jennifer Lopez’s dress.
The superstar stepped out for a literary event on Thursday evening, where she wore a shimmering black gown that looked like our celestial sky transformed into a formal garment.
J.Lo’s sequined, high-neck dress was sleeveless, and it featured a thick ribbed belt cinching it along the center. To pair with the midnight-colored piece, the actor also carried a tiny black top-handle bag, and she accessorized with a golden bangle, diamond rings, and stud earrings.
Speaking of stars though, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer was just one of many who came out to support producer and businesswoman Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, who recently released her debut novel, Climbing in Heels. Inspired by Goldsmith-Thomas’s own life working in a Hollywood agency, the book got a stamp of approval from a number of celebrities, like Lisa Rinna, Lucy Hale, Kyle Richards, Anastasia Soare, and more, who were all in attendance.
Throughout the release, Lopez has been a strong supporter of the novel, having attended a reading event back in April, and even lending a quote that appears on the front cover, where she calls the book, “smart,” “sexy,” and “entertaining.”
Goldsmith-Thomas showed her gratitude to J.Lo in a recent Instagram post, where she wrote, “@jlo you have been beside me every step of the way, urging me on, sprinkling your magic, and reminding me that the sky isn’t the limit, it’s a resting place. Here’s to scaling more mountains together. I love you endlessly. #ClimbingInHeels.”
