Jess tells PEOPLE that Styles was “genuinely lovely” and also got a selfie with him
Harry Styles is a Grammy winner — and apparent photographer extraordinaire.
While traveling in Rome in March, Jess and her boyfriend Ted ran into the musician while riding a Surrey bicycle. Jess posted about running into Styles, 31, on Instagram, captioning the series of pictures, “a sequence of events (that i will never shut up about),” which includes a selfie with Styles.
Jess tells PEOPLE that “Harry was genuinely lovely.” What made their run-in with the “As It Was” singer even more iconic was that Styles took their picture, and then DMed it to Jess on Instagram later.
“As promised, hope you guys had a great trip. H,” he signed off the message.

Jess posted about the interaction on TikTok as well. “message request from Harry Styles is ridiculous #help,” she captioned the video that featured a screenshot of his DM.
Fans were amused by his follow-up with the vacation picture. “What cracks me up is that he behaves like a random roman citizen 99% of the time,” one user said.
“just imagine THE harry styles sending a dm of a picture HE took of you,” another wrote.
“You never have to worry about an icebreaker task again,” someone joked about their fun fact involving Styles.
“And the thought that HE DIDNT FORGET ABOUT IT!!! he CHOSE to take the picture and he CHOSE to send it TWO MONTHS LATER and he didn’t even forget 🥹 warms my heart,” one fan added.
“Every time I hear about Harry styles it’s because he’s doing random side quests,” one fan noted.
Recent Styles sightings have been side quests such as joining a run club for a jog, while wearing jeans.
He was also spotted in Vatican City during the Conclave when the new pope was elected.

In March, Styles surprised a fan during a taxi ride in London who didn’t realize who he was at first.
“Picked up this young fella on my way home tonight,” Instagram user Pink London Taxi captioned their post of a selfie with Styles.

“We got chatting and I said ‘You really sound like Harry Styles’ He said ‘That’s because I am Harry Styles ‘ 🤣🤣🤣 He was such a friendly young chap!”
Styles also ran the Tokyo Marathon in March in under three-and-a-half hours, finishing ahead of over 20,000 runners that day.
