Fans of Ugly Betty and Signed, Sealed, Delivered can breathe a sigh of relief for actor Eric Mabius. All charges have been dropped from his arrest earlier this year.
The actor was involved in an altercation in the early morning hours on Feb. 20, 2025 that led to his arrest on the scene at The Goat, an Irish-themed bar in Fernandina Beach, Florida. He and 40-year-old woman were accused of creating a disturbance while law enforcement said the two were intoxicated.

According to court records, Mabius was charged with misdemeanor battery as well as obstructing or opposing an officer without violence. All charges were dropped earlier this week and the case is now closed.

Mabius starred as Daniel Meade on Ugly Betty for the entire run of the show (four seasons). He later and currently stars as Oliver O’Toole on Hallmark’s long-running movie series, Signed, Sealed, Delivered. The series started off as an episodic show running for ten episodes before making the transition to two-hour movies mostly airing on Hallmark Mystery. The most recent installment, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back recently premiered on Hallmark Channel. Along with the ten episodes, there are currently 14 movies in the series. Mabius’ other credits include Inside Game, Blue Bloods, and Chicago Fire.
