Actress Halle Berry, 58, stunned at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Berry, who is a member of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival jury, posed for the event’s Chopard Universe Dinner on May 19. The actress opted to wear a strapless structured burgundy red dress with boning and a long intricate train. She also wore wine-colored pointed heels. Berry brought even more glamour to the look by sporting bold red bejeweled rings and matching earrings. Berry’s short highlighted bob was styled in loose waves.
Throughout her more than three-decade career as an actress, Berry has been known for her style. Berry spoke about her most iconic looks during a November 2021 interview with Vogue. She noted that she has often rocked her signature short hairdo on red carpets. The actress explained that she cut her hair into a pixie cut to make herself stand out during auditions early in her career.
“As a young actress, I was going on auditions and every audition I saw another Black girl, just like me, [with] big, curly hair. And I felt like every casting director just went, ‘Uh, You.’ And that’s who got the job. So this was on purpose,” said Berry during the Vogue interview. “It was very much designed to set myself apart from the other women I was going up against on my auditions. And the first audition I got since I cut my hair, I got the job.”
During the Vogue interview, Berry also discussed the iconic Elie Saab gown she wore at the 2002 Oscars, where she took home the award for Best Actress for her role in Monster’s Ball.
“I felt really great in this dress. The top was very open and free and had these little flowers that covered all the right bits that it needed to cover. But the bottom was very regal, very grand,” said Berry to the publication.
