Selena Gomez recalled her ’embarrassing’ first kiss with fiancé Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez is recalling a sweet and awkward moment with Benny Blanco.
Appearing on the latest episode of Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware, released Wednesday, April 30, the singer, 32, and her fiancé, 37, opened up about their first kiss.
“We were hanging on our second date, towards the end of the date, we were sitting in the living room, on the couch and we were playing ‘We’re not really strangers,’ ” Blanco said.
He added, “And there was a thing where it said, ‘Take a selfie with the person next to you,’ and we were already kind of lounging and she got right on my chest and took a selfie and then right after I just looked at her and I said, ‘I got to kiss this girl.’ ”
“And I kissed her right away,” the music producer continued.
Asked if it was a good kiss, Gomez added, “It was a very good kiss.”
“Right away, her heart started beating quickly, she started getting a rash on her face and she was so nervous,” Blanco said.

Gomez then shared that she “hadn’t liked anyone in a very long time, so some kisses are for fun and then when you feel something behind the kiss it’s completely different.”
“I had been alone for about five years with the exception of a few s—– dates here and there, but never felt that way,” she continued. “And I was a little embarrassed, but he was like, ‘Are you okay?’ And I was like, ‘No, no, I’m fine.’ I didn’t want to be like, ‘I like you, I really like you.’ ”

Blanco went on to reveal that while the reaction happened again, everything “felt so natural” when they were hanging out from that moment on.

The couple, who confirmed their relationship in December 2023, went on to announce their engagement in December 2024.
“Forever begins now..” Gomez wrote alongside shots of her diamond ring.
The pair first met in 2013 through Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey, before collaborating on music. Blanco went on to co-produce the songs “Kill Em With Kindness” and “Same Old Love” on Gomez’s 2015 album, Revival.
