Gwyneth Paltrow is pushing the boundaries of skincare with the launch of the Goop Youth-Boost NAD+ Peptide Rich Cream, bringing the buzzy longevity ingredient to a topical application. In a candid interview, she also opens up about her personal wellness rituals, from NAD+ drips and peptide shots to daily saunas, and teases the highly anticipated expansion of Goop Kitchen into New York City.
Leave it to Gwyneth Paltrow to add one of the most talked-about longevity ingredients into a skincare product. Wellness buffs like Paltrow have long been using NAD+, a peptide known for its potential benefits for energy levels, memory, muscle building, and overall vitality, in drip form. These IV drips are typically expensive and require being hooked up to a needle for hours at a time. Applied topically, you won’t see all of the same health benefits, but a 2024 study found that it could play a key role in skin longevity by helping protect against UV light. So naturally, Goop has incorporated the sought-after ingredient in a new cream.
“NAD+ is obviously a buzz word in longevity,” says Paltrow. “We wanted to make something that would push the conversation around skincare at the moment and were excited about the idea of putting it into a product. It’s such an amazing compound for cellular metabolism and repair, and it works well topically.”

Do you do NAD+ drips?
I do. I also have a great little NAD+ pen where you can give yourself a shot when you need a boost. It’s fantastic.
What do you think is the next NAD+?
We’re hearing a lot about certain peptides that are being formulated for longevity. They deal with inflammation and brain health. I think we’re going to continue to hear a lot around injectable peptides.
What’s your favorite wellness routine at the moment?
Being in nature, walking, breath work, and meditation. The sauna and cold plunge are two big ones that I try to do every day.
If you could distill your life right now into a candle, what would the scent notes be, and what would you call it?
It would be called, “Why am I so fucking busy?” and it would smell like a martini.
What has it been like to be fully back on the award circuit with Marty Supreme?
Oh, it’s been fun. It’s so nice to be a part of a wonderful film [that’s] resonating with audiences and critics alike. I was a bit overwhelmed thinking about everything that I had to do, and it actually turned out to be pretty enjoyable.
I’m wondering if you might be down to play a game of fuck, marry, kill for wellness trends with me. The first one is: NAD+, B12, and peptide shots.
Oh my gosh. I can’t kill any of those. Injectable B12 is one of my biggest wellness tools. Same with NAD+ and peptides. I’m going to have to be a polygamist and marry more than one.
Next is: infrared sauna, cold plunge, and vibration plates.
I’ll marry the sauna, I’ll fuck the cold plunge, and I’ll kill the vibration plates. I’ve never gotten into them, so that’s the best I can do today. Apparently they’re great for your lymphatic system.
The next one is: yoni eggs, acupuncture, and aura cleansing.
I think you have to fuck the yoni egg, right? That seems pretty obvious. I’ll kill the aura cleansing, and I’ll marry acupuncture.
For winding down at the end of the day, would you rather have a glass of wine, watch TV, or read a book?
I have to marry all of those. I guess I would kill red wine because it keeps me up all night. The other two are good. I would marry or sleep with either of them.
Are you reading anything or watching anything on TV right now?
We’re watching a new series of The Night Manager, which is great. So far two episodes in, and I just finished reading a book called Among Friends, which I loved. On deck, I also have Playworld by Adam Ross.
Are you on the Heated Rivalry train?
I’m not. I am late to this party. I better get on it.
Every time I’m in L.A. I have to get Goop Kitchen. I have heard that you guys are opening a New York outpost. Is there anything you can say about that?
We’re very excited. It should be April, barring any delays. We’ve got a few locations coming up. We’re starting in three different neighborhoods. One will follow the next pretty quickly.
I love watching your Boyfriend Breakfast series on Instagram. What’s your favorite breakfast to make?
A frittata. You can use a lot of what you’ve got in the fridge and what’s growing in the garden. Well, probably not right now in New York or on the East Coast, but in California, you can go outside and pull some herbs or Swiss chard.
