While speaking to PEOPLE at the UK premiere for his newest film Thunderbolts*, Wyatt said that having kids of his own helped him “realize” the way his parents have probably felt about him all these years.
“When you become a parent, you realize what your parents feel about you,” he told the publication. “And so you realize that all they want you to be is happy. They want you to live a fulfilled life, and that’s all you care about for your kids.”
“And so I’m imagining that’s all my parents care about,” he added of his two movie star parents.
Wyatt—who is a half-brother to Kate Hudson, Oliver Hudson and Boston Russell from his parents’ previous marriages—welcomed his first child with wife Meredith Hagner in 2021 with the birth of their son, Buddy Prine, 4.
The couple welcomed their second child in 2024, when their son, Boone Joseph, was born in February.
