This isn’t the only recent switch-up GMA has revealed in recent months.
In June, GMA announced a different shakeup that marked the end of an era for the ABC program. The anchors bid farewell to its Time Square Studios after 26 years of calling the space home. Now, GMA airs live from downtown New York City in Hudson Square. (Reviews of the new studio’s vibe have been mixed.)
Meanwhile, GMA shared even more huge news when it revealed a key player was retiring after 37 years with the show.
Stephanopoulos fans feared he might be next when he was MIA in late June. However, his wife, Ali Wentworth, eventually revealed the reasons for his extended absence.
