Erin Napier is getting candid about her upcoming milestone birthday.
The Home Town star, 39, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Aug. 4 to speak on the topic of aging and getting wrinkles. Napier, who turns 40 on Aug. 30, wrote in the caption that she’s deciding not to care about her “forehead wrinkles” ahead of her birthday.
“Y’all, are we out here caring about forehead wrinkles? I’m turning 40 this month and I think… we should all decide we don’t care,” she wrote in the post, followed by a smiley face emoji.
The caption is written over a close up bathroom mirror selfie of Napier’s face, seemingly without any filters and minimal or no makeup.

Along with Napier, a number of other HGTV stars have been candid about their thoughts on getting older and whether they’re embracing the process.
Ahead of her 40th birthday in July 2023, Christina on the Coast star Christina Haack told PEOPLE that she was “excited for this decade” and that she felt “full of life.” However, when it came to aging, she noted at the time: “Nothing a little Botox can’t fix.”

Haack’s ex-husband and The Flip Off costar Tarek El Moussa also admitted to getting Botox when he turned 43 last August.
“OMG I still can’t believe I’m 43!!! Huge shoutout to whoever created Botox!” he wrote in an Instagram post.
While Napier kept it real in her post, she has yet to reveal how she plans on celebrating the upcoming milestone.
Her husband of 16 years, Ben Napier, has been known to make many sweet gestures on his wife’s birthday in the past. It’s likely that Erin will spend the day with her husband and their two daughters: Helen, 7, and Mae, 4.
For Erin’s 38th birthday in 2023, Ben “snuck out” of the house at 5 a.m. to make sure he could surprise his wife with pastries from a local bakery before she woke up. Erin later re-shared a photo of Ben, 41, posing with the pastry boxes at the bakery and noted, “I am the luckiest” on her Instagram Stories.

Meanwhile, for Ben’s 40th that same year, Erin penned a touching tribute on Instagram.
The post showed Ben posing with her dad Phil — who was celebrating his 70th birthday at the time — in one slide, followed by a shirtless snap of her husband in the next slide.
“Lordy lordy, Big Ben is 40! He and my daddy both had milestone birthdays this week!,” Erin wrote in her caption. “I want to be like you, @scotsman.co: never looking back or feeling sad about our youth getting further away, but always feeling so grateful for right now.”
“You’ve worked so hard this year to rehab your shoulder and transformed yourself in the process,” she continued, referring to Ben’s fitness journey.
“The girls and I are so thankful for you,” Erin added of their daughters. “Here’s to 50 more birthdays together. I love you!”
