Emma Thompson’s daughter is her mini-me!
The Sense and Sensibility star, 66, was photographed posing next to her 25-year-old daughter Gaia as the two attended the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Thompson, who stars in the film The Dead of Winter, which premiered at the festival, could be seen wearing a two-piece white set with cherries on it.
Her daughter, who stood just a little bit taller than her mom, wore a sparkly, white sheer shirt and matching white sparkly shorts. Gaia looked like the spitting image of her mom as the two smiled for photos together.

In July 2024, Thompson’s daughter Gaia shared a cheeky post on her Instagram Stories poking fun at 2023’s Barbie movie’s tagline — and Thompson’s ex, Kenneth Branagh.
The post, shared on X (formerly Twitter) in July 2023, featured stills from the 1993 adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing starring Thompson, 65, and Branagh, 63.
“She’s everything. He’s just Ken,” it read, with a picture of Thompson as Beatrice on the left, and Branagh as Benedick on the right.
Thompson and Branagh met on the set of the 1987 miniseries Fortunes of War. They married in 1989 before splitting six years later when the Dunkirk actor had an affair with Helena Bonham Carter.
She later went on to marry Wise, whom she met while filming the 1995 period drama Sense and Sensibility.

Before filming started, Wise had visited a “witchy” friend who told him that he would meet the love of his life on the set of the film.
“He assumed it wasn’t me because I was married and quite a lot older than him, so he thought it might be Kate [Winslet, Thompson and Wise’s costar on Sense & Sensibility],” Thompson said during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2021, per Hello!.
She went on to explain that Wise took Winslet to the Glastonbury Festival, but Winslet was “so bored,” prompting Wise to think that his destined partner may be someone else.
She continued, “Then things happened that probably shouldn’t have happened, and it’s been 25 years in May [2021].”
