During a 2023 Elvis Week appearance, Thompson thrilled fans with little-known facts about her romance with Presley. She said kissing him was like taking “two big fluffy marshmallows, putting them together, and the sweetness and the softness that they are, and you just kiss those marshmallows, that’s the closest thing I could come to explaining what it would be like kissing Elvis. Because he did have the softest and sweetest lips.”
She also revealed the king smelled like “Neutrogena soap. He always had this little essence of the clean, fresh smell of Neutrogena.”
In 2024, Thompson shared details of private moments in the king’s bedroom. She explained, “It was our place where we could be sequestered and private. Talk and share intimate secrets.”
She continued, “And read our books and pray. He was an extraordinary human being.”
Linda Thompson and Elvis Presley’s relationship ended in December 1976. He died eight months at 42 in August 1977.
