Dua Lipa is ready to dance the night away with her beau.
On Monday, May 5, the three-time Grammy winner stepped out at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2025 Met Gala with Callum Turner. The starry outing marks the couple’s red carpet debut after first sparking romance rumors in January 2024.
Lipa wore a sexy black dress with a plunging V-neck halter. The dress was tailed by Chanel, per Vogue. The bodice of the dress is sheer with geometrical strips of black fabric that blends into a feather skirt. For a flair of dramatics, the bottom of the dress is sheer with a slight train.
The singer paired the look with dramatic black sheer gloves adorned with rhinestones. She accessorized with a layered silver necklace and matching diamond-shaped earrings.
As for her glam, Lipa opted for a slicked-back look with gelled down face-framing curls. She kept her makeup light with a nude lip, bronze blush and defined brows.

Turner, 35, opted for a custom Louis Vuitton black suit, according to Vogue. The black blazer was neatly layered over a white buttoned shirt. He paired the classic look with a white tie, black pants, and black dress shoes that have white dots.
Lipa seemingly confirmed that she’s dating the British actor in July 2024, when she shared a sweet pic with him in a photo and video recap from the 2024 Glastonbury Festival.
Last October, Vogue announced that this year’s Met Gala would be co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour, with LeBron James as honorary chair.
Fundraising for The Costume Institute — and with the spotlight on its spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the star-studded event will also have an A-list host committee, including Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, Doechii, Regina King, Spike Lee, Angel Reese and Usher.
According to Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton, the museum’s exhibit, which is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”
The new exhibit “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,” according to a post on the museum’s Instagram.
In February, the dress code for the Met Gala was revealed to be “Tailored for You.” Fittingly, it is a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting.

Dua Lipa at 2024 Met Gala
Lipa has been a longtime supporter of the annual event at the Met Gala, where she’s now attended a total of four times.
Her first Met Gala appearance came in 2019, when the “New Rules” singer went with a psychedelic-print Atelier Versace ball gown that she paired with a bow at her hip and a ’60s-inspired hairdo. At the time, she and then-partner Isaac Carew celebrated the night’s “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme.
Lipa later served as a co-chair at the 2023 Met Gala, alongside the likes of Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz and Roger Federer. The event followed the theme of “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” and she opted to wear a gown once worn by supermodel Claudia Schiffer for the 1995-1996 Chanel runway show. She paired the white-silver-and-black gown with a Tiffany & Co. necklace in platinum and a red lip.

As for last year, Lipa teamed up with Marc Jacobs for a skin-revealing cream corset bodysuit decorated with lace overlay. The look featured strings of beads, a feathered shawl over her shoulder and a skirt with a massive train.
The outfit put her rear end on full display, with a long fabric covering her nether regions.
“We got some feedback on some show that we had done a while back of a goth collection,” Jacobs told Vogue at the time. “And there was a dress that was of particular interest to Dua and her stylist. So we didn’t want to repeat the same dress, but we wanted to understand what it was about it that she liked. We tried to do an update, remake, new version for her.”
Next up for Lipa, she’ll be continuing on her Radical Optimism tour, which runs through Spain, France, Germany, Italy, London and beyond this summer. She’ll then make her way through North America starting in September in Toronto, with dates throughout the remainder of 2025.
