Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have just made their Met Gala debut!
The two looked so incredibly in love as they walked up the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight in coordinating black Chanel looks.
The “Houdini” singer was the ultimate Chanel cool girl in a striking creation from the French fashion house. It consisted of a flapper-esque black dress embellished with transparent panels, crystals, a criss-crossing bodice, and a feather skirt. It was a lot to unpack, and yet, she added more to the look via layers of diamonds: on her ears and around her neck.
She capped off the fit with transparent black opera gloves dotted with crystals, and a slicked hairdo topped with kiss curls—a red carpet trend at this year’s Met.
Turner looked dapper in a black double-breasted suit, silky white shirt, black dress shoes, and a patterned ivory Chanel tie.
The couple’s glamorous red-carpet outing came hours after they danced the night away at Charli XCX’s concert in Brooklyn.
Lipa has become a staple on Hollywood red carpets, including the Met ball, but this is the first time she has attended with her beau.
Lipa also wore Chanel to the 2023 Met Gala. Then, she looked like a Hollywood princess in a white tweed ball gown with woven black trim. The piece originally debuted in 1992, and was worn by Claudia Schiffer.
To up the ante, the pop star frosted herself in diamonds from Tiffany & Co. She became the first person to ever wear the legendary Lucida Star Necklace (reportedly worth more than $10 million) reset with a diamond that mirrored the proportions of the famous Tiffany Diamond. The piece alone featured over 100 carats of brilliant-cut white diamonds.
Lipa also repped Chanel to hit the Met Gala after-parties and host her own—at hotspot Virgo—that year. Her fit was a sporty black bra and matching biker shorts from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Underneath the shorts, she wore black transparent tights with Chanel’s CC logo paired with black pumps with pearls on the heels. And, to continue her high jewelry streak, she layered on strings of big vintage pearl and chain Chanel necklaces.
