“Could not be further from the truth, Maggie and Suzanne are integral to the show’s history, present storylines, and now, on the heels of our pick-up, the future! Neither are going anywhere,” declared the insider.
In fact, the writers have big plans for Maggie following the two-season renewal. As Parade reported, Days of Our Lives has been renewed through Season 63.
The Peacock soap will celebrate its 60th anniversary in November. According to SOD, Maggie will play a major part in that, as well as the Titan DiMera drama and the downfall of Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) marriage.
Rogers debuted as Maggie in 1973. The actress and Maggie have been through the wringer during their five decades in Salem. Days of Our Lives honored Rogers’ 50th anniversary as Maggie in August 2023.
Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock.
