Looks like David Beckham’s recovery is already allowing him to get back into the kitchen!
On Friday, June 27, David’s wife, Victoria Beckham, posted a couple of snapshots to her Instagram Stories of the former soccer player, 50, lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a blue sling. David had surgery to repair issues relating to a soccer-related wrist injury after breaking his wrist in 2003 in a match between England and South Africa.
But hours later, Victoria, 51, reassured concerned Instagram followers that the Inter Miami CF co-owner is now recovering in the comfort of their home. The video showed David with freshly gathered vegetables from their garden, including cucumbers and lettuce.
“Okay, so this weekend’s vegetable content,” Victoria said before getting a closer look at the basket of cucumbers. “Look, he’s overperforming on the cucumber front. Are they all from the garden?”
As she cheekily remarked on their homegrown produce, David gave her a stern look before smirking and replying, “Why would you say that, darling?” She then captioned the video with the same sentiment and wrote, “Overperforming on the cucumber front, Sir David!!!”

Before the pair shared the fruits (or in this case, vegetables) of their labor, Victoria added a couple of photos of David’s recovery at the hospital. One of the photos showed David, sporting a hospital gown, smiling at the camera.
“Get well soon daddy,” the fashion designer wrote in her caption alongside a love heart Instagram sticker.
Victoria also shared another photo of David holding a friendship bracelet with letters on beads that read, “Get well soon.”
The pair didn’t provide any further details about David’s hospital stay, which comes after it was announced that the soccer legend has been named for knighthood by King Charles. The honor, which was announced earlier this month, will see David become Sir David Beckham, while Victoria will be addressed as Lady Beckham.

Additionally, ahead of David’s surgery, he and Victoria shared another hilarious moment in their backyard garden. On Saturday, June 21, David shared some footage on Instagram of their sprawling gardens and made Victoria laugh from behind the camera as he pulled a unique-looking carrot for Victoria.
“I’ve been waiting for a while for this,” David began the lighthearted video, digging through a wooden garden box. “A carrot.”
“OK, let’s see it,” Victoria said. He simply replied, “I really hope it’s good,” and then pulled his vegetable from the ground, revealing an unusually short carrot that had split into two ends.
The couple immediately began to crack up, as Victoria joked, “That’s so disappointing.” As David looked at his harvest, she joked again, “Oh my god, that’s embarrassing.”
