Brooke Hogan is detailing Hulk Hogan’s “hurtful” and “callous” comments to her prior to their estrangement.
Speaking with TMZ on Wednesday, August 6, Brooke recalled the demise of her relationship with her late father, from whom she’d been estranged for two years. She told the outlet that Hulk, who died of a heart attack on July 24 at the age of 71, had confided in her about “some issues” he was having with then-girlfriend, now-wife Sky Daily, who “was kinda like, pushing the marriage thing hard.”
Brooke, 37, claimed that Hulk was “feeling uneasy” and told his daughter, “If I broke up with her, it’d be bad.”
When she asked him what he meant by that, he replied, “I don’t wanna get into it.”

Brooke and Hulk had “respectful disagreements” over text, with her advising him to break up with Daily, 46, and Hulk allegedly telling her, “Well, I haven’t approved of who you’ve dated.”
Brooke thought his behavior was “childish” and “making me cry. There were hurtful things that he kind of said,” she recalled.
At one point, “I was working on a house for him,” she said. “One of the contractors witnessed an interaction between me and my dad. He texted me — the contractor texted me — and said, ‘Are you OK, kid? That hurt me watching what I saw.’ My dad had become a little bit callous in his old age, and that’s OK.”
Brooke did not attend Hulk’s funeral at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida on Tuesday, August 5. The hundreds of mourners included Linda Hogan, who was married to Hulk from 1983 to 2009, as well as her son, Nick (Brooke’s brother), and Daily, whom Hulk wed in September 2023. Daily’s children from a previous relationship were also there.

A program at the service described Hulk as “a devoted family man” and “proud father of Brooke and Nick.”
A source exclusively shared with Us on Wednesday that there “was no drama, just respect. No one mentioned Brooke’s absence, and the atmosphere remained classy and filled with love. People were understandably upset and still in shock, as Terry’s passing was unexpected.”
Instead of attending, Brooke opted to honor her dad by visiting the ocean with her kids. She told TMZ that she’s “at peace,” but felt like she’s “getting crapped on for not going to funerals and services and stuff like that. When my dad told me specifically — multiple times — ‘Just burn me up and put me in the back of the ocean behind my house. That’s where my dad is. I want to be in the Gulf. I want to be with my dad.’”
According to Brooke, Hulk “didn’t like the morbidity of funerals. He hated it. And quite honestly, if he knew he were being carted around for two weeks for show, with people that didn’t really know him … is this for my dad, or is this for everybody else?”
